We are currently seeking candidates for the following position:
DIRECTOR of QUALITY
The successful candidate will be responsible for doing research and analysis of the manufacturing processes and quality programs/systems to improve quality control and quality assurance. This person will oversee food safety efforts within the organization. This person will work with the Director of Compliance to establish policies, procedures and training materials for the quality and food safety programs. This person is expected to spend a significant portion of their time working in manufacturing to deepen their understanding of the production process. Collaborating with other directors, this person will help to develop, implement, and enforce quality, security and food safety standards, policies, and programs including, but not limited to, Food Defense Plans, the Safe Quality Food (SQF) standard or other commensurate Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) schemes.
Requirements:
Combination of education and experience in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or related field.
PhD. preferred.
Experience in food or nutritional supplement manufacturing and quality assurance, or similar experience.
Apply critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve complex problems.
Ability to design experiments and studies for verification and validation of processes and methods.
Responsibilities
Primary
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of LiquaDry s manufacturing processes.
Direct and conduct analysis of LiquaDry products, manufacturing processes and QA/QC procedures.
Develops, implements, and monitors quality and food safety programs that ensure LiquaDry products and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
Communicates with other functions to assure both product quality and processes improvements are implemented and maintained.
Administers quality and food safety management systems that support the overall goals and objectives of LiquaDry.
Monitors and verifies activities to ensure that all products coming in to and out of the facility meet quality and food safety standards.
Evaluates and reports on quality and food safety statistics.
Hires, trains, and supervises QA/QC staff. Develops and manages QA/QC and food safety budgets.
Implements quality KPI s and monthly and annual reports in QA and QC.
Collaborative
Responsibilities:
Implements activities and programs defined by LiquaDry in accordance with the quality policies.
Accountability for product releases. Manages the non-conformance of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
Provides support and direction to LiquaDry to achieve Quality goals.
Working with the Director of Compliance, conducts facility food safety audits as well as participates in second and third-party audits. Sets and manages the internal audit program in accordance with internal objectives and third party reviews.
Updates existing food safety procedures and documentation to assure continued compliance with changing global regulations and industry standards/best practices.
Ensures employees are adequately trained on quality and food safety programs. Assists buyers with training and educating of potential suppliers to ensure compliance.
Works closely with the Director of Operations and Director of Supply Chain on any food safety, food quality, maintenance, security and sanitation issues or programs to comply with quality and food safety requirements.
Ensures that all company food safety and quality procedures are followed and properly documented at all times.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Combination of education and experience in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or related field.
PhD. preferred.
Experience in food or nutritional supplement manufacturing and quality assurance, or similar experience.
Apply critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve complex problems.
Ability to design experiments and studies for verification and validation of processes and methods.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Prioritize multiple assignments at the same time and meet established deadlines.
Proactively identify and act on problems before issues occur.
Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with different levels of the organization, clients, customers, and vendors.
Ability to be a subject matter expert and has extensive process knowledge of Quality Assurance.
Effectively communicate on a technical basis with management, internal and external customers.
Must be flexible with work hours and days.
Ability to be objective and accepting of constructive criticism.
Preferred:
Certified SQF Practitioner, or equivalent.
Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) training.
Comprehensive knowledge of Food Defense programs, GMPs and FSMA.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
